Episode 311: Helen’s Handmade Wedding

In this long-awaited episode, we talk about HELEN’S WEDDING! We go into detail about the wedding dress she made – designing it, making wearable and non-wearable muslins, and sewing delicate embroidered tulle. We also chat about the other DIY elements of the day, like the favours, flowers, dance party outfits, invitations, giant mushrooms, and floating jellyfish!

Helen’s Dress: Helen based her bodice on the Lockhart Dress and self-drafted the rest. The bodice layer is made up of the embroidered net overlayer, cotton voile underlining, and cotton poplin lining. The skirt is made up of the embroidered net overlayer, cotton voile underlining, and woven rayon lining.
