Fun side note: I once saw a Don Cherry interview on tv and he actually has his own Fabricland membership card and goes and picks out his fabric for his jackets at his local Fabricland Store! He doesn’t sew them though, he has a tailor for that!
I love this podcast so much! Words cannot express how much I love it. Thank you so much for doing this.
Sandra – that IS a fun side note! I imagined he had them custom tailored and it totally makes sense that we would pick out the fabrics himself! I wonder what his closet looks like. I think I would pay to see that!
We are so thankful for your support!
She rocks my world! I will not fear anything now!!!!
Hi girls, I am a new listener and so just reached this episode yesterday.
I just want to say that as a new sewist this episode has inspired me to be brave and purchase fabric for some trousers! I have so far only made a very simple skirt and a dress and thought I should gather years of experience before I tackle something so impressive! I am jittery with nerves and excitement and want to thank you both, and Heather, for reminding me that THERE ARE NO RULES! Woohoo!
Woohoo!! Good for you! We are thrilled that you are feeling inspired to tackle a sewing challenge. Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment! -H&C
Hi Ladies!!
I only just stumbled on your podcast bout 6m ago so have a lot of catching up to do, about a yr behind but I love listening to you so i’m sure i’ll catch up.
This episode was so inspiring as im a serial procrastinator but also someone who looks at something and says I can do that! so this year 2019 i’m going to make a bra!!
Yes! Love that attitude! You got this!
I fully and from the bottom of my heard agree wirh the saying: Do what you desire and don’t tell yourself, you can’t! that’s how I started: I want to sew a skirt! I begin!
Yes! We love that approach too! ❤️
