We love meeting fellow sewists in real life! It is so much fun, and we want to encourage you to try it too. We talk about how to meet online friends in person, how to organize a sewing meet-up, basic meet-up etiquette, and lessons learned from our past sewing get-togethers.

Hey guys! First, I just wanted to say thank you so much for your podcast! I’m brand spankin’ new to garment sewing (like…I’ve only made 2 pj pants NEW) but you lovely ladies have really encouraged me to jump right in with my sewing journey and I’m really looking forward to the makes awaiting me in the future!
I wanted to leave feedback about sewing with toddlers or babies. I share a creative space with my husband that has dangerous, or as we call it “pokey, ouch!” items like office supplies, pliers, scissors, and yes- pins and needles. We’ve learned to reorganize. Keep “ouchies” out of reach but mostly- safe things for baby on the ground! My 2 year old is able to distract herself away from the scary stuff by instead using the coloring books, scrap fabrics for play, and a small box of toys in areas and drawers accessible to her. It allows her to share in my creative space while staying safe and even being creative herself. Hope this helps!
